Born in the city of Obregón, Sonora, she graduated as a Biotechnological Engineer from the Technological Institute of Sonora (ITSON), where she also obtained her Master of Science in Natural Resources, followed by a a Doctorate in Biotechnology by the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana - Iztapalapa (UAM – I).
Currently is a member of the National Sistem of Reserchers has participated in research and development projects related to enzymes, biopolymers, oligosaccharides, etc.

PhD Rigoberto Plascencia Jatomea

Born in the city of Obregón, Sonora. He obtained a Chemical Engineer’s degree with honorary mention from the Technological Institute of Sonora (ITSON), followed by a Master's Degree in Engineering Sciences by the University of Sonora (USON) and a Doctorate in Biotechnology from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana - Iztapalapa (UAM-I). He has participated in several national and international projects of research and development, specializing in the application of biotechnology in the treatment and re-use of wastewater and the use of crustacean fishing waste.
